The North East Regional Institute of Education (NERIE), Umiam, Meghalaya — a premier institute of NCERT — has released the official notification for the Common Entrance Examination (CEE) 2026 for admission into its 2-year regular B.Ed. Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must select the State/UT against which they are seeking admission and produce any ONE of the following as proof:
•Evidence of having passed the qualifying examination from the concerned State/UT.
•Certificate of place of posting of legal guardian/parents employed in State/Central Govt./PSU/Autonomous Bodies in that State/UT.
•Domicile certificate / nativity certificate / residence certificate from the competent authority of the concerned State/UT.
Educational Qualification
Condition A – Graduation Marks Based
At least 50% marks in Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s Degree in Sciences / Social Sciences / Humanities. OR Bachelor’s in Engineering/Technology (Science & Mathematics specialization) with 55% marks. (5% relaxation for SC/ST/PwD candidates.)
Condition B – Master’s Degree Based (Special Case)
Candidates with less than 50% in graduation but eligible based on their Master’s degree marks must still submit graduation marks in the application. Graduation aggregate marks (all subjects) will count for the 40% weightage in ranking.
⚠ Important: Relaxation of 5% marks is allowed for SC/ST/PwD candidates in the minimum qualifying marks. Always verify your eligibility from the official NERIE CEE-2026 notification/brochure before applying.

Comprehension, rearranging sentences, selecting suitable words for blanks, finding errors in sentences, equivalent meanings of phrases, grammar including synonyms, antonyms, idioms, prepositions, tenses, articles, and sequencing.
2. Teaching Aptitude (30 Questions)
