RRB Para Medical Staff Recruitment 2026 – Overview
The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB), Ministry of Railways, Government of India, has released a short employment notification CEN No. 05/2026 for the recruitment of 560 Para-Medical Category posts across various RRBs. The online application process runs from 15 September 2026 to 14 October 2026.
Posts on offer include Nursing Superintendent, Dialysis Technician, Health & Malaria Inspector Grade II, Pharmacist (Entry Grade), Radiographer/X-Ray Technician, ECG Technician, Laboratory Assistant Grade II and other allied para-medical roles. Selected candidates will be placed in Pay Level 3 to 7 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix.

Eligibility Criteria (Post-wise Educational Qualification)
Nursing Superintendent
Certificate as Registered Nurse and Midwife, having passed the 3-year General Nursing and Midwifery course from a school of Nursing recognised by the Indian Nursing Council; OR B.Sc. Nursing. Concessions apply for Auxiliary Nurse Midwives/Midwives/B-grade Nurses under Indian Nursing Council norms.
Dialysis Technician
B.Sc. plus (a) Diploma in Haemodialysis, OR (b) 2 years of satisfactory in-house training/experience in Haemodialysis work at a reputed institution (proof required).
Health & Malaria Inspector Grade II
B.Sc. with Chemistry as Main/Optional subject, plus (a) 1-year Diploma in Health/Sanitary Inspector, OR (b) 1-year NTC in Health Sanitary Inspector from the National Council for Vocational Training.
Pharmacist (Entry Grade)
10+2 in Science with Diploma in Pharmacy, registered under the Pharmacy Act, 1948; OR Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharma) with registration under the Pharmacy Act, 1948.
Radiographer / X-Ray Technician
10+2 with Physics and Chemistry, plus a 2-year Diploma in Radiography/X-Ray Technician/Radio-diagnosis Technology. Science graduates holding the same diploma are preferred.
ECG Technician
10+2/Graduation in Science with a Certificate/Diploma/Degree (minimum 1 year) in ECG Laboratory Technology/Cardiology/Cardiology Techniques from a reputed institution. UGC/Parliament Act recognised distance-learning qualifications are also accepted.
Laboratory Assistant Grade II
12th (10+2) in Science with (a) Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT), OR (b) an equivalent full-time Certificate Course (minimum 1 year, recognised institution, with a formal examination). UGC/Parliament Act recognised distance-learning qualifications are also accepted.
