Assam Career: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) 2024 is going to release the official notification of Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Exam 2024 for the recruitment of multiple “Group C” posts in the cadre of Lower Divisional Clerk/ Junior Secretariat Assistant, Data Entry Operators, and Data Entry Operator Grade ‘A’ for various Ministries/ Departments/ Offices of the Government of India. Eligibility Criteria of SSC CHSL Recruitment:
Age Limit: 18-27 years as on 01-08-2024 i.e. Candidates born not before 02-08-1997 and not later than 01-08-2006 are eligible to apply.
Age Relaxation: The category-wise age relaxation is as mentioned below
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PWD (UR): 10 years
- PWD (OBC): 13 years
- PWD (SC/ ST): 15 years
- ESM: 3 years
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University. The candidate must possess Essential Qualification on or before the cut-off date i.e. 01-08-2024.

Scheme of SSC CHSL Examination
Applicants whose applications are found eligible will have to participate in two tiers of computer-based examinations. Candidates should note that the marks scored in computer-based examinations, if conducted in multiple shifts, will be normalized using the formula published by the Commission. In the event of any difference, discrepancy, or dispute in the questions between English and the opted language, the content of the English version shall prevail.
Tier-I (Computer Based Examination)
The Tier-I Examination will consist of Objective Type, Multiple Choice Questions only. The questions will be set in English, Hindi, and any language opted by the candidate in the application form. The structure of the Tier-I exam will be as follows.
Type of Questions: Tier-I will consist of Objective Type, Multiple Choice Questions.
Negative Marking: There will be a negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer. Candidates are, therefore, advised to keep this in mind while answering the questions.
Time Duration: 60 minutes (80 minutes for the candidates eligible for scribe as per Para-7.1 and 7.2 of the official notification).
