Division-wise allocation: Applications are automatically routed to one of LIC’s 112 Divisions based on the applicant’s PIN code.

Merit-based screening: Eligible applicants with family income ₹4.50 lakh or below are ranked strictly on academic merit within their Division.

Seats per Division: 20 Girls + 20 Boys (10+2/Diploma level), 40 Girls + 40 Boys (Graduation level). Vacant seats in one gender category may be transferred to the other.

Waiting list: A Divisional waiting list is prepared once available scholarships are filled, for any remaining eligible candidates.

Central reallocation: Unfilled seats in some Divisions may be pooled centrally and reallocated to Divisions with waiting-listed candidates.

Verification & payment: Selected students are informed via email; documents are verified by LIC Divisional Officials, after which the scholarship amount is credited via NEFT to the student’s bank account.
