The SBI Platinum Jubilee Asha Scholarship 2026 is a major scholarship initiative run by the SBI Foundation, the CSR arm of the State Bank of India, aimed at helping talented students from economically weaker families continue their education. The scholarship covers school students (Class 9–12), undergraduates and postgraduates at NIRF Top 300 or NAAC ‘A’ institutions, MBBS students, IIT and IIM students, and students pursuing master’s programmes abroad at QS Top 200 universities.
For 2026, the scholarship aims to support 25,707 meritorious students from economically weaker families across India, backed by a total scholarship fund of ₹100 crore. Awards range from ₹15,000 for school students to as much as ₹15,00,000 for students pursuing postgraduate studies abroad.

Selection Process
Once the application window closes, all submitted applications go through verification, evaluation, and selection based on the applicable scholarship guidelines. The complete process – from application verification and evaluation to final selection and scholarship disbursement – may take approximately 6 months after the application deadline.

On the new webpage, enter your details as required and register yourself on the portal.
After registration, click on the Online Application Form and log in with your credentials.
Enter all required credentials and upload your documents as prescribed on the portal.
Click “Submit” and take a printout of your submitted application for future reference.

It is an initiative of SBI Foundation, the CSR arm of the State Bank of India, aimed at supporting meritorious students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds so they can continue their education without financial constraints.
The last date to apply is 19 September 2026. Applications opened on 22 July 2026.
The award ranges from ₹15,000 for school students (Class 9–12) to ₹15,00,000 for students pursuing postgraduate studies abroad at QS Top 200 universities.
For school students, annual family income must be ≤ ₹3,00,000. For UG, PG, medical, IIT, IIM, and overseas study categories, the limit is ≤ ₹6,00,000.
Candidates need a minimum of 7.5 CGPA or 75% marks in the previous academic year (relaxed to 65% for SC/ST and 60% for PwBD candidates).
The complete process from application verification to final selection and disbursement may take approximately 6 months after the application deadline.
