SSC Translator Recruitment 2023

Assam Career: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) 2023 has recently invited application for the Recruitment of 307 Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted posts of Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translator and Senior Hindi Translator for various Ministries/ Departments/ Organizations in the Government of India. SSC Translator Recruitment Details

1. Junior Translation Officer(JTO) in Central Secretariat Official Language Service (CSOLS)

• Pay: Level-6 (₹ 35400- 112400)

2. Junior Translation Officer(JTO) in Armed Forces Headquarters(AFHQ)

• Pay: Level-6 (₹ 35400- 112400)

3. Junior Hindi Translator (JHT)/ Junior Translation Officer(JTO)/Junior Translator(JT) in various Central Government Ministries/Departments/Organizations

• Pay: Level-6 (₹ 35400- 112400)

4. Senior Hindi Translator(SHT)/Senior Translator (ST) in various Central Government Ministries/Departments/Organizations

• Pay: Level-7 (₹ 44900- 142400)

Eligibility Criteria of SSC Translator Recruitment:

Age Limit: 18 to 30 years as on 01-08-2023 i.e. candidates born not before 02-08-1993 and not later than 01-08-2005 are eligible to apply.

Age Relaxation: The category-wise age relaxation is as mentioned below:

• SC/ ST: 5 years
• OBC: 3 years
• PwD (Unreserved): 10 years
• PwD (OBC): 13 years
• PwD (SC/ST): 15 years

Educational Qualification:

Posts No. 1 to 3:

Master‟s degree of a recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level;

or

Master‟s degree of a recognized University in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the mediumof examination at the degree level;

or

Master‟s degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of a examination at the degree level;

or

Master‟s degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level;

or

Master‟s Degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subjects or either of the two as a medium of examination and the other as a compulsoryor elective subject at degree level

and

Recognized Diploma or Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English & vice versaor two years‟ experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central or State Government Office, including Government of India Undertaking.
