SIRISH Scholarship 2025
The Directorate of Tea Tribes and Adivasi Welfare (TTWD), Assam, serves as the key implementing agency under the Department of Tea Tribes and Adivasi Welfare. The directorate is entrusted with executing a wide range of welfare schemes and programs aimed at uplifting the Tea Tribes and Adivasi communities. These initiatives include SIRISH scholarships for school and college students, skill development and entrepreneurship programs, start-up grants-in-aid for self-employment ventures, and financial support for women’s Self Help Groups (SHGs), among others. These schemes are designed to promote educational, economic, and social empowerment within these communities.
To streamline the application and implementation process, TTWD adopted an online application system called the SIRISH portal, beginning from the financial year 2020–21. This digital platform has helped eliminate cumbersome paperwork and has made it easier for beneficiaries to apply for various schemes. Each year, the directorate invites applications from eligible individuals belonging to the Tea Tribes and Adivasi communities through the SIRISH portal for scholarships and other welfare schemes. The online approach not only ensures transparency but also improves accessibility and efficiency in delivering benefits to the intended stakeholders.
