Selection Process of SBI Recruitment
The selection process of Probationary Officers will include a Preliminary Examination, Main Examination and Psychometric Test.
Preliminary Examination
Preliminary Exam consisting of Objective Tests for 100 marks will be conducted online. This test would be of 1 hour duration consisting of 3 topics as follows.

Each test will have a separate timing as mentioned above. There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests. 1/4th of the mark assigned for a question will be deducted for each wrong answer. No minimum qualifying marks are prescribed for individual test OR for aggregate score.
Main Examination
The main Examination will be conducted online and will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 50 marks. The Descriptive Test will be administered immediately after the conclusion of the Objective Test and candidates will have to type their Descriptive Test answers on the computer.

Psychometric Test
The Bank may conduct a Psychometric test for personality profiling, of those candidates who will be shortlisted for Phase-III. The finding of the test may be placed before the Interview panel to have a thorough perspective on the candidates.
Final Selection
The candidates will have to qualify both in Phase-II and Phase-III separately. The marks obtained in Main Examination (Phase-II), both in the Objective Test and the Descriptive Test, will be added to the marks obtained in Phase-III for preparing the final merit list. The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination (Phase-I) will not be added to preparing the final merit list for selection.
