Land Records Assistant Recruitment 2026 – Overview
The Directorate of Land Records & Surveys, Assam has released an official employment notification for the recruitment of 579 Land Records Assistant (LRA) posts under the amalgamated establishment of District Commissioners’ offices (excluding Sixth Schedule areas). Online applications are open from 21st September 2026 to 21st October 2026 at sebaonline.org.
This recruitment is restricted to candidates who have already completed the 6-month RCCC (Recorders Certificate Class Course) Training from the Assam Survey & Settlement Training Centre, Dakhingaon, and have been declared proficient in both Survey and Settlement subjects by an official result of the Director of Land Records & Surveys, Assam. Selected candidates will be placed in PB-2 (₹14,000 – ₹70,000) with Grade Pay ₹6,200.
⚠ Not for the general public: Only candidates who have already passed the RCCC examination prior to Govt. Notification No. LA&A/429557/158 dated 13.08.2026 are eligible to apply. Candidates without a valid RCCC pass certificate cannot apply for this post.

Eligibility Criteria
RCCC Qualification (Mandatory)
•Must have passed the Recorders Certificate Class Course (RCCC) Training from the Assam Survey & Settlement Training Centre, Dakhingaon, Guwahati-40, and been declared proficient in both Survey and Settlement subjects by an official result of the Director of Land Records & Surveys, Assam, prior to Govt. Notification No. LA&A/429557/158 dated 13.08.2026.
Age Limit (as on 01-01-2026)
•21 to 40 years. Age relaxation for reserved categories is applicable as per Government policy.
•Age will be calculated based on the Class X/Class XII Admit Card, Pass Certificate or Marksheet issued by a recognised Central/State Board or Council, clearly mentioning the date of birth.
Other Eligibility Requirements
•Computer Proficiency: Minimum typing speed of 30 WPM in English and 15 WPM in Assamese/Bengali.
•Government Employees: Candidates already in Central/State Government service must apply through proper channel and produce an NOC (No Objection Certificate) from their HoD at the time of document verification.
