All the candidates who had applied for admission to the GNM course at Assam Oil School of Nursing are hereby informed that the written test will be held on 23rd July 2023 (Sunday) in Digboi. The exam will be of 2 hours duration (10 AM to 12 PM), and candidates are to report to the venue 45 minutes prior to the start of the Written Test. Bus services will be provided from India Club, Near Refinery Main Gate, Digboi to the exam venue (DPS, Carmel School, AOSN & AOCN) from 7:30 AM onwards. Eligibility Criteria of IOCL Digboi Nursing Admission
Educational Qualification:
B.Sc Nursing: HSSLC (i.e 10+2) with Science (Physics, Chemistry & Biology) and English Core/English Elective with minimum aggregate of 50% Marks for General/EWS/OBC category and 45% Marks for SC/ST/PwBD category. The qualification should be from a Government recognized board under AHSEC/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board.
GNM:
a) 10+2 class passed preferably Science (PCB) & English with aggregate of 40% marks.
b) 10+ 2 in Arts (Mathematics, Biotechnology, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy) and English Core/English Elective or Health care Science – Vocational stream ONLY, passing out from recognized Board under AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board with 40% marks.
c) 10+2 vocational ANM under CBSE Board or other equivalent Board from the school and recognized by Indian Nursing Council with 40% marks.
Gender: Only unmarried female candidates can apply for this course .
Age Limit: Minimum 17 years and Maximum 24 years as on 31/12/2023 (Age relaxation applicable for SC/ST/OBC/ PwBD candidates as per presidential directives). Marksheet / certificate issued by a Board of Secondary Education for passing Matriculation (Class-X) examination shall be the only acceptable document in support of proof of age.

IOCL Digboi Nursing Admission Stipend and Training Details:
B. Sc (Nursing): The selected candidates shall be paid a consolidated stipend per month for 1st year – ₹ 2,800/-; 2nd year – ₹ 3,000/- ; 3rd year – ₹ 3,200/-; and for 4th year – ₹ 3,400/-
GNM: The selected candidates shall be paid a consolidated stipend per month for 1st year – ₹ 2,500/- ; 2nd year – ₹ 2,700/- ; 3rd year – ₹ 2,900/-.
Additional benefits / opportunities for both BSc (N) & GNM courses:
Free hostel accommodation, medical attention for self at AOD Hospital and uniform will be provided to all selected candidates. Selected candidates will be required to stay in the Nursing College hostel only.
After passing out from respective courses, the candidates will be engaged compulsory for a period of 1 (one) year as working interns at AOD Hospital or in any of the other hospital of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. This may be extendable by maximum 2 (two) years at the sole discretion of IOCL (AOD).
The working interns shall be paid a consolidated stipend of ₹ 15,250/- per month for GNM and ₹ 16,250/- per month for BSc (N) at AOD Hospital and shall be paid an additional amount of ₹ 1,000/- per month if they are placed at other hospitals of Indian Oil Corporation Limited, other than at AOD hospital. During the period while they are engaged as working interns, they shall not be provided with the accommodation facility.
Selection Process of IOCL Digboi Nursing Admission
Indian Oil Corporation Limited will conduct a written test to select the top 30 meritorious students for admission to the GNM course at Assam Oil College of Nursing and Assam Oil School of Nursing. The details of that written exam are given below.

Qualifying marks: 40% Marks (relaxable by 5% for candidates from SC/ST/PwBD categories).
Obtaining minimum qualifying marks in the written test does not confer any right or claim by the candidate for being shortlisted for document verification or the final selection, as the same is based on candidate’s rank in the merit list on the basis of marks obtained in the Written test, number of seats, candidates meeting the notified eligibility criteria and documents found in order upon verification etc.
For the B.Sc Nursing course, candidates will be selected with Common Entrance Examination (CEE-2023) Roll No. and with total marks obtained in CEE-2023 organised by Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences, Guwahati.
Only 30 (thirty) eligible candidates meeting desired parameters shall be called for document verification followed by medical examination. In case of tie (two or more) in total marks in the CEE written test result and weightage marks of Income certificate, the date of birth (senior by age) shall be the factor to be considered (in that order only) to place a candidate’s rank in the merit list.
