🔔 Applications Open: Assam OBC Scholarship 2026 application started 1 June 2026. Last date: 30 September 2026. Institute verification deadline: 31 October 2026. Apply at scholarships.gov.in!

✅ Income Limit: Annual family income must not exceed ₹2.5 Lakhs per annum. Income certificate must be obtained from the Circle Officer of the respective Revenue Circle only.

ℹ Post-matric scholarship covers the complete duration of the course as long as the student continues to meet eligibility criteria each year. Disbursement is through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) directly to the student’s Aadhaar-seeded bank account.

⚠ Important: Provide only an active bank account seeded with Aadhaar number. The authority is not responsible for failed transactions due to inactive or incorrect bank details. All scholarships are disbursed via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

Go to scholarships.gov.in (National Scholarship Portal) and click the One-Time Registration link.

Enter your details and register yourself on the NSP portal. Keep your Aadhaar number and mobile number ready.

After registration, click Online Application Form and log in with your credentials.

Fill in all personal, educational, and bank details. Upload all required documents (Aadhaar, Caste Certificate, Income Certificate, Bonafide Certificate, Bank Passbook).

Click Submit and take a printout of the submitted application for future reference.

The last date to submit the online application is 30 September 2026. The institute-level verification deadline is 31 October 2026. Applications started on 1 June 2026.

There are two types: (1) Pre-Matric Scholarship for Class IX and X students and (2) Post-Matric Scholarship for students pursuing courses after Class X.

Group 1 (Degree/PG professional): ₹20,000/- per year | Group 2 (Other professional): ₹13,000/- | Group 3 (Graduate/PG non-professional): ₹8,000/- | Group 4 (Post-X non-degree): ₹5,000/- per year.

Required documents: Aadhaar Card, Caste Certificate, Income Certificate (from Circle Officer), Bonafide Certificate (from Institute), and Bank Passbook (active, Aadhaar-seeded account).

Parental/guardian income from all sources must not exceed ₹2,50,000/- per annum. The income certificate must be obtained only from the Circle Officer of the respective Revenue Circle.

Apply online at the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) at www.scholarships.gov.in. New applicants must complete One-Time Registration before filling the scholarship form.

No. The restriction of maximum 2 children per family applies only to boys. There is no restriction for girl students — all eligible girls can avail the scholarship regardless of how many girls from the same family are already receiving it.
