Pragyan Bharati Scooty Scheme
The Assam government introduced the Pragyan Bharati Scheme in 2020, offering scooty to female students who achieved a percentile score of 60 or higher in the Higher Secondary examination conducted by AHSEC. According to a recent cabinet announcement, this scheme will continue to provide scooty in 2024. Additionally, male students who secure 75% or more marks are eligible to benefit from the Pragyan Bharti Scheme. The government has set up an online portal for the Pragyan Bharati Scheme, allowing candidates to apply for scooty through sebaonline.org if they meet the eligibility criteria. Also, the cabinet has announced that the distribution of scooters will start from 30th November 2023.

In 2024, 40,735 girls and 7,938 boys will receive scooters under the Scooty Scheme. This year, there is no need to fill out an online application for this scheme.

Pragyan Bharati Scooty Scheme Merit List 2024
On 20th July 2024, the Directorate of Higher Education released the lists of students who secured the required marks in the Assam HS Final Examination, 2024. The download link for the Assam Scooty Merit List, along with other basic information, is provided in the following table.

District Wise Distribution Schedule
As of now, the department has not notified the distribution schedule for the Assam Scooty Scheme 2024. Last year, the distribution process of scooters to eligible students began on 30th November 2023. We advise everyone to wait for the official distribution notification for the exact date.

How to Apply for Pragyan Bharati Scooty Scheme?
There was an online application process in the initial phase of this scheme, but in recent years, there is no requirement to submit applications for the Assam Scooty Scheme. The merit list is prepared based on the data provided by the Assam Higher Secondary Council, which already has all the necessary details of the students, including their exam results. Eligible students will receive invitations or any necessary communication from their respective schools or colleges from which they passed the Assam HS Final Examination.
