BRO GREF Recruitment 2026 – Overview
The Border Roads Organisation (BRO), through its General Reserve Engineer Force (GREF), has officially released Advertisement No. 01/2026 for the recruitment of 899 posts across trades including Electrician, Draughtsman, Store Keeper Technical (SKT), Operator Communication, Operator Excavating Machinery (OEM), and Hindi Typist.

Post-wise Educational Qualification
Draughtsman (42 Posts)
•10+2 with Science subjects from a recognized Board, AND 2-year Certificate in Architecture or Draughtsmanship from a recognized Institute.
OR
•2-year National Trade Certificate for Draughtsman (Civil) from a recognized Institute + 1 year practical experience in the trade.
Hindi Typist (10 Posts)
•10+2 from a recognized Board or equivalent.
•Typing speed: 30 words per minute in Hindi on Computer (equivalent to 9000 KDPH on average of 5 key depressions per word).
Store Keeper Technical – SKT (300 Posts)
•10+2 from a recognized Board or equivalent.
•Store keeping knowledge relating to vehicles or engineering equipment.
Operator Communication (261 Posts)
•Matriculation (Class 10) from a recognized Board.
•Wireless Operator or Radio Mechanic Certificate from ITI or equivalent, OR Defence Trade Certificate from an Army Institute with Radio Technology knowledge, OR Passed Class I Course for Wireless Operator as per Defence Service Regulations.
Operator Excavating Machinery – OEM (207 Posts)
•Matriculation (Class 10) from a recognized Board.
•Heavy Motor Vehicle driving licence, OR Driving Licence for Dozer/Excavator + 6 months experience in driving Dozer/Excavator, OR Passed Class II Course of OEM as per Defence Service Regulations.
Electrician (79 Posts)
•Matriculation (Class 10) + Certificate of Auto Electrician from ITI or equivalent + 1 year experience as Electrician.
•Candidates who cleared Electrician Class 2 Course as established by the Defence Service Regulations are also eligible.
