The entrance exam is offline (OMR-based) with a duration of 1 hour 30 minutes. The question paper covers four subject areas with the following weightage:
Nature of teaching & its characteristics; Understanding learner’s needs; General understanding about teaching, learning & evaluation; Methods of teaching, teaching approaches and strategies; Classroom interaction strategies.
General idea about Indian Education and its development; Educational policies; History and Development of Teacher Education in India; General understanding of contemporary education issues.
Reading comprehension, tenses, errors, jumbled words and sentences, fill in the blanks, synonyms/antonyms, one-word substitution, grammar.
History, Geography, Politics, Sports, General Science, Current Affairs, State Culture & Arts, Indian Constitution.
