Eligibility Criteria of SBI PO Recruitment:
Age Limit: The andidates must be between 21 and 30 years of age as of 1st April 2025. They should have been born no earlier than 2nd April 1995 and no later than 1st April 2004 (both dates inclusive).
Age Relaxation: The upper age limit is relaxable:
i) By 5 years for SC/ST candidates. |
ii) By 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates. |
iii) For Persons with benchmark disability (PWD) by 10 years (upto 15 years for SC/ST and upto 13 years for OBC (NCL) candidates). |
Educational Qualification: Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
Final Year Students: Those who are in the Final Year/ Semester of their Graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if called for interview, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 30.09.2025.
Others: Candidates possessing qualifications such as Medical, Engineering, Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant would also be eligible.

Selection Process of SBI PO Recruitment:
The selection for Probationary Officers will be done through a three phase process. All stages are as mentioned below:
Preliminary Examination (Phase I)
Preliminary Examination consisting of Objective Test for 100 marks will be conducted online. The test will have of 3 Sections (with separate timings for each section) as follows:

Main Examination (Phase II)
Main Examination will be conducted online and will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 50 marks. The Descriptive Test will be administered immediately after conclusion of the Objective Test and candidates will have to type their Descriptive Test answers on the computer.
Objective Test: The duration of objective test is 3 hours and it consists of 4 Sections of total 200 marks. There will be separate timing for every section.

Descriptive Test: The duration of Descriptive Test is 30 minutes. The Descriptive Test will be administered immediately after conclusion of the Objective Test and candidates will have to type their Descriptive Test answers on the computer. It will be a Test of Communication Skills: Emails, Reports, Situation Analysis & Precis Writing with total 50 marks.
Interview (Phase III)
The Bank may conduct a Psychometric test for personality profiling, of those candidates who will be shortlisted for Phase III. The finding of the test may be placed before the Interview panel for having a thorough perspective on the candidates.
The 3rd Phase may comprise of Interview (30 marks) & Group Exercises (20 marks).
Candidates will have to score minimum qualifying marks in Phase-III to be considered for final selection. The minimum qualifying marks will be decided by the Bank.
Negative marking is applicable in both the Preliminary and Main Examinations, with a deduction of 1/4th mark for each incorrect answer. Results for each phase will be announced on the official SBI website, and the entire process ensures transparency and fairness in selecting the most qualified candidates for the Probationary Officer position.
