The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released official notification of All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE) 2024 for the admission into to Class VI and Class IX in 33 Sainik Schools across the country, for the academic year 2024-25.
Sainik Schools are English medium residential schools affiliated to CBSE and managed by Sainik Schools Society (Ministry of Defence). They prepare cadets to join the National Defence Academy, Indian Naval Academy and other training academies for Officers.

Eligibility Criteria of Sainik School Admission:
Candidates wish to appear for AISSEE 2024-25 session must have following educational qualification:
Class 6th: For admission to Class 6, the candidate’s age should be between 10 and 12 years as of 31st March 2024. In other words, the student must have been born between 1st April 2012 and 31st March 2014 (both days inclusive).
Class 9th: For admission to Class 9, the candidate’s age should be between 13 and 15 years as of 31st March 2024. In other words, the student must have been born between 1st April 2009 and 31st March 2011 (both days inclusive).
How to apply for Sainik School Admission?
Students who are interested to join in Sainik Schools across the nation must submit online application form. Online application will be available from 21st October 2022 to 30th November 2022 at National Testing Agency (NTA) website. AISSEE Qualifying Marks
A candidate is eligible for admission to the Sainik Schools, if he/ she secures a minimum of 25% marks in each subject of the exam and 40% marks in aggregate of all the subjects of AISSEE 2023. However, admission will be based on relative merit (in AISSEE) of candidate in his/ her category in the school opted by him/ her, medical fitness and verification of requisite documents.
However, no minimum marks are prescribed for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe category. They will be admitted on the basis of inter-se merit at the Entrance Examination within their respective categories, subject to their meeting the eligibility requirements, medical fitness and verification of requisite documents.
In case an SC/ST/OBC(NCL) category candidate comes in the general merit on his/ her own, he or she would be admitted against general seat and will not be adjusted against the reserved share of SC/ST/OBC(NCL) seats.
