📌 Note: The M.Sc. in Chemistry must be a Regular Full-Time degree. Part-time, distance education, or correspondence M.Sc. degrees are not eligible.

All India Online Selection Test – Subject Knowledge Test (SKT): Tests domain knowledge in Chemistry. Conducted online across exam centres in India.

Executive Aptitude Test (EAT): Assesses general aptitude, reasoning, and management skills for the executive/trainee role.

Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must verify all original documents (degree, mark sheets, category certificates, etc.) at designated NTPC offices.

Medical Examination: Candidates who clear document verification must pass a medical fitness test as per NTPC norms before final appointment.

Complete the online application form with all personal, educational, and category details carefully.

Upload required documents — photograph, signature, degree certificate, mark sheets, and category certificates as specified.

Pay the application fee: ₹500/- (General/EWS/OBC) or NIL (SC/ST/PwBD/XSM/Female) through the online payment gateway.

Submit the application and download and print the confirmation/application form for future reference.

The last date to apply online for NTPC ACT Recruitment 2026 (Advt. No. 09/26) is 10 July 2026.

Candidates must have a Regular Full-Time M.Sc. in Chemistry from a recognised University/Institute with a minimum of 60% marks. SC/ST/PwBD candidates need only passing marks. Final year students expecting results by 31 July 2026 may also apply.

There are 40 Assistant Chemist Trainee (ACT) vacancies across India under Advertisement No. 09/26.

The maximum age limit is 27 years as on the last date of application (10 July 2026). Age relaxation is available for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/XSM candidates as per Government of India rules.

Selection is through: (1) All India Online Selection Test including Subject Knowledge Test (SKT) and Executive Aptitude Test (EAT), followed by (2) Document Verification, and (3) Medical Examination.

The fee is ₹500/- for General/EWS/OBC candidates. There is no application fee (NIL) for SC/ST/PwBD/XSM (Ex-Servicemen)/Female candidates.
