North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited (NEEPCO), a Mini Ratna – Category I Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Power, Government of India, has officially notified the recruitment of 25 Executive Trainee (ET) posts in E-2 Grade across three disciplines: Electrical/Mechanical, Civil, and Geology.
This is a GATE 2026-based PSU recruitment. Shortlisting will be done purely on the basis of GATE 2026 score. The selected candidates will be placed in an IDA pay scale of ₹50,000 – 3% – ₹1,60,000/-. Applications close on 3 June 2026.

Yes. GATE 2026 score is mandatory for all disciplines. Only GATE 2026 scores are valid — previous years’ GATE scores (2024 or 2025) are NOT accepted. Shortlisting will be done purely based on GATE 2026 marks.
The IDA pay scale for NEEPCO ET is ₹50,000 – 3% – ₹1,60,000/-. Including DA, HRA and perquisites, the estimated gross salary is approximately ₹65,000 – ₹80,000+ per month.
General/EWS/OBC (NCL): ₹560/-. SC/ST/PwBD/ESM and all female candidates are fully exempted from the application fee. Fee is non-refundable once paid.
Minimum 65% marks in the qualifying degree for General/EWS/OBC candidates. 55% marks for SC/ST/PwBD candidates. For Civil, SC candidates need 55%; for Electrical/Mechanical, SC/ST/PwBD need 55%.
Upper age limit as on 01 January 2026: EWS – 30 years | OBC (NCL) – 33 years | SC/ST – 35 years | PwBD – 40 years. Refer to official notification for General (UR) category age limit.
