About UGC NET 2025
UGC NET (University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test) is conducted to assess the eligibility of candidates for:

Eligibility Criteria for NTA UGC NET December 2025
Age Limit
- For JRF: Maximum 30 years as of 01.12.2025
Relaxation: 5 years for OBC-NCL, SC/ST, PwD, Third Gender, and Women candidates. - For Assistant Professor & Ph.D. Admission: No upper age limit.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have at least:
- 55% marks (General/Unreserved/EWS) or
- 50% marks (OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PwD/Third Gender) in Master’s Degree or equivalent examination from UGC-recognized universities/institutions.
➲ Subjects include Humanities, Social Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronic Science, etc.
