💰 JRF Stipend: ₹37,000/- per month for first 2 years + ₹20,000/- annual contingent grant. After 2 years (if Ph.D. registered), upgrades to SRF at ₹42,000/- per month.

ℹ Note: The fellowship will be governed by the terms and conditions of CSIR, UGC, or the Research Scheme, as applicable. Contingent grant of ₹20,000/- per year is reimbursed directly to the fellow.

⚠ Marks must be at least 55% (50% for reserved categories) without rounding off. E.g., 54.9% does NOT qualify as 55%. Refer to the official CSIR UGC NET Information Bulletin for subject-specific eligibility.

ℹ Fee can be paid via Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, or UPI. Fee once paid is non-refundable. Transaction charges (if any) are borne by the candidate.

⚠ Deadline Alert: Only 23 days between application open and close (27 May – 19 June 2026). Apply early — NTA portals experience heavy traffic near deadlines. Do NOT wait for the last day.

Fill in all personal and educational details and upload required documents (photo, signature, certificates).

Pay the application fee as per your category via Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, or UPI.

Submit the form and take a printout of the completed application for future reference.

CSIR UGC NET June 2026 will be held on 17 & 18 July 2026 in CBT (Computer Based Test) mode at exam centres across India.

The last date for online application submission is 19 June 2026. A correction window is available from 22 to 23 June 2026.

JRF stipend is ₹37,000/- per month for the first 2 years + ₹20,000/- annual contingent grant. After 2 years (if Ph.D. registered), it upgrades to SRF at ₹42,000/- per month.

Master’s Degree (or equivalent) with minimum 55% marks for General/EWS candidates and 50% marks for OBC (NCL)/SC/ST/PwD/Third Gender candidates. Final year students may apply provisionally.

Maximum 30 years for JRF (General/EWS) as on 1 July 2026. Relaxation of 5 years for OBC/SC/ST/PwD/Women/Third Gender. No upper age limit for Assistant Professor and Ph.D. admission categories.

General: ₹1,150/- | EWS/OBC (NCL): ₹600/- | SC/ST/PwD/Third Gender: ₹325/-. Payment via Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, or UPI.

Yes. Final year Master’s students or those awaiting results may apply provisionally. However, they must complete the degree with the required percentage within 2 years from the date of NET result (or 1 year for Ph.D. Admission Only category), failing which they will be disqualified.
