Indian Coast Guard Recruitment Details

1. Assistant Commandant General Duty (GD)
Number of Vacancy: 50
Gender: Male
Age Limit: Born between 01 Jul 1999 & 30 Jun 2003 (Both dates inclusive).
Educational Qualification:
(i) Should hold a degree of recognised university with minimum 60% aggregate marks.
(ii) Mathematics and Physics as subject upto Intermediate or class XII of 10+2+3 scheme of education or equivalent with minimum 55% aggregate marks in Mathematics and Physics. The candidates who have completed graduation after diploma, are also eligible, provided they should possess an aggregate of 55% marks in diploma with physics and mathematics in its curriculum.)

2. Assistant Commandant Technical (Mechanical)
Number of Vacancy: –
Gender: Male
Age Limit: Born between 01 Jul 1999 & 30 Jun 2003 (Both dates inclusive).
Educational Qualification:
➲ Should hold an Engineering degree of recognised university in Naval Architecture or Mechanical or Marine or Automotive or Mechatronics or Industrial and Production or Metallurgy or Design or Aeronautical or Aerospace with minimum 60% aggregate marks. OR
Equivalent qualification in any of the above disciplines recognised by the Institutes of the Engineers (India) as exempted from section ‘A’ and ‘B’ and their associate membership examination (AMIE).

➲ Mathematics and Physics as subject upto intermediate or class XII of 10+2+3 scheme of education or equivalent with minimum 55% aggregate marks in Mathematics and Physics. The candidates who have completed graduation after diploma, are also eligible, provided they should possess an aggregate of 55% marks in diploma with physics and mathematics in its curriculum.

3. Assistant Commandant Technical (Electrical/ Electronics)
Number of Vacancy: 20 posts (Mechanical + Electrical/ Electronics)
Gender: Male
Age Limit: Born between 01 Jul 1999 & 30 Jun 2003 (Both dates inclusive).
Educational Qualification:
(i) Should hold an Engineering degree of recognised university in Electrical or Electronics or Telecommunication or Instrumentation or Instrumentation and Control or Electronics and Communication or Power Engineering or Power Electronics with minimum 60% aggregate marks. OR Equivalent qualification in any of the above disciplines recognised by the Institutes of the Engineers (India) as exempted from section ‘A’ and ‘B’ and their associate membership examination (AMIE).

(ii) Mathematics and Physics as subject upto intermediate or class XII of 10+2+3 scheme of education or equivalent with minimum 55% aggregate marks in Mathematics and Physics. Medical Standards

Height

Asst Commandant (GD), Technical: 157 cms minimum. Reduction in height for candidates from hilly areas and tribal areas will be in accordance with the Central Govt. regulations.

Weight

Proportionate to the Height and Age, + 10 % acceptable.

Chest

Well proportionate, minimum expansion 5 cms.

Eye Sight

(i) Asst Commandant (GD) 6/6 6/9 – Uncorrected without Glass.
6/6 6/6 – Corrected with Glass.

(ii) Asst Commandant (Tech) 6/36 6/36 – Uncorrected without Glass.
6/6 6/6 – Corrected with Glass

Examination Fee:

• UR/OBC: ₹ 300/-
• SC/ST: Nil
