Indian Coast Guard (ICG) has officially announced a recruitment drive for 365 vacancies under the Coast Guard Enrolled Persons Test (CGEPT – 01/2027 & 02/2027 Batches) for Navik (General Duty), Navik (Domestic Branch), Yantrik, and Hygienist-I posts. Candidates who have passed Class 10th, 10+2 (with Physics & Maths), or an Engineering Diploma are eligible to apply online. The application fee is ₹550 (exempted for SC/ST). Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2026 – Overview
The Indian Coast Guard, an Armed Force of the Union, has released an official notification for 365 Navik, Yantrik and Hygienist-I posts through the Coast Guard Enrolled Persons Test (CGEPT), covering the 01/2027 and 02/2027 batches. Eligible 10th/12th-pass and Diploma-holding candidates can apply online from 6 October 2026 to 21 October 2026.
Selection runs through a rigorous four-stage process: a Computer Based Examination, assessment at an ICG Recruitment Centre (including a Physical Fitness Test), training-base verification at INS Chilka, and final document verification. This is a flagship opportunity to join India’s maritime security force straight out of school or diploma studies.

Selection Process – CGEPT 2026 (4 Stages)
100 MCQs, 100 marks, 1 hour, conducted in Hindi & English, no negative marking. Qualifying marks: 40 (UR/EWS/OBC), 35 (SC/ST).
Basic identity & biometric verification, Physical Fitness Test (1.6 km run, squats, push-ups, bent-knee sit-ups), Assessment & Adaptability Test (qualifying), and document verification. Candidates should expect to spend 1–2 days at the centre.
Basic identity check (including Aadhaar-based verification), verification of original documents, and a Pre-Enrolment Medical Examination by the Recruitment Medical Officer. Shortlisted candidates receive a provisional e-admit card.
Detailed verification of original educational certificates, identity documents and category certificates. Candidates unable to produce valid documents may be removed from the process.
