Pay the application fee as per your category (₹850 for Others / ₹175 for SC/ST/PwBD) and submit the form.

Take a printout of the completed application form for future reference.

There are 6,715 vacancies across 8 public sector banks: Bank of Baroda (1,900), Canara Bank (1,500), Bank of Maharashtra (1,100), Indian Overseas Bank (550), Punjab National Bank (504), Bank of India (500), Central Bank of India (500), and Punjab & Sind Bank (161).

The last date for online application is 21 July 2026. Applications opened on 1 July 2026.

The pay scale is ₹48,480 – ₹85,920 with increments (₹48,480 + 2,000/7 + 2,340/2 + 2,680/7). In-hand salary including allowances is typically around ₹52,000–58,000 per month depending on the city and bank.

The IBPS PO Preliminary Examination is scheduled for August 2026. Call letters will be available for download in August 2026 from the IBPS website.

Selection is through a 3-stage process: (1) Preliminary Exam (100 marks, 60 minutes), (2) Main Exam (225 marks including a Descriptive paper), and (3) Interview/Personality Test. Provisional allotment to banks is expected in January 2027.
