CSIR NEIST Jorhat Skill Development Training Program 2024
North East Institute of Science and Technology, Jorhat, Assam, a constituent establishment of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), New Delhi, has been engaged in multidisciplinary R&D work relevant to the country in general and North Eastern Region in particular.
“CSIR-Integrated Skill Initiative” is a national program on skill development initiated by Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) using the expertise and infrastructure of individual laboratories situated across the country. Under this initiative CSIR-NEIST, the only R&D laboratory of CSIR operating in NER, proposes to organize the following training program.
Applications are invited from the eligible citizens of India for the training program as per the application format is given in the official website. Eligible candidates will be certified under NSDC-CSIR Integrated Skill Initiative scheme.

Advanced training:
➲ CNC turning and machining (20 seats)

Eligibility Criteria of CSIR NEIST Jorhat Skill Development Training
Age Limit: 38 years (Relaxation as per govt. norms)
Educational Qualification:
Basic training:
➲ Min. qualification is class eight passed.
➲ For Assistant Electrician, minimum qualification is class 10th passed.
➲ For 2D & 3D drafting using AutoCAD, minimum qualification is class 10th passed / ITI passed / diploma passed .
➲ For weaving trade woman candidates will be preferred.
➲ 10+2 (preferably science) for Plant Tissue Culture Technician and expertise in nursery work will be preferred.
➲ 10+2 (preferably science) /I.T.I for Animal Attendant.
Advanced training:
➲ CNC: ITI passed as machinist/ turner, diploma in mechanical or allied subject .
➲ Adv. welding: ITI passed for welding, diploma in mechanical or allied subject .
➲ AI-ML: Must have Bachelor’s degree in any Science or Engineering discipline & the course will be in online mode .
Application fee if any: Course fee of ₹ 5000/- will be charged during admission for the trade of Laboratory Animal Attendant only. All other courses are free of cost.
How to Apply for CSIR NEIST Jorhat Skill Development Training?
Candidates have to apply as per the application format given in the CSIR-NEIST official website mentioned below and send it to the email ID: skillneist2021@gmail.com Subject of the e-mail should be “Application for Skill Development Training” with trade for which applied.
Candidates will be selected on the basis of the percentage of marks obtained in the respective qualifying examination.
The candidate must have to provide a valid mobile number for communication related to the training program.
Separate application form to be submitted if applied for more than one training.

(Online mode), Beekeeper, Mushroom grower, Flower Handler-Packaging & Pelletising, Floriculturist, Plant Tissue Culture Technician, Animal Attendant.
(ii) Handloom CFC, SIRD, Arnapurna Gaon, Golaghat (with our associated NGO, SNEHPAD) for Jacquard Weaving.
