The AVFU Guwahati Admission 2026 official notification has been announced for undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes at the Assam Veterinary and Fishery University. For the 2026–2027 academic session, first-year admissions into the 5.5-year B.V.Sc. & A.H. and 4-year B.F.Sc. courses will be strictly based on the merit scores of the CET-UG-AAU26 (Common Entrance Test), jointly administered by AAU Jorhat. Eligible candidates who have completed their 10+2 in the Science stream with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks must submit their online application forms through the official AVFU portal on or before the closing deadline of June 10th, 2026.

AVFU Guwahati Admission 2026 – Overview
Assam Veterinary and Fishery University (AVFU), Khanapara, Guwahati has released the official Admission Notification for the 2026–27 academic session. AVFU is a specialized university established under the Assam Veterinary and Fishery University Bill, 2024 by the Assam Assembly. It is India’s dedicated institution for veterinary and fishery sciences in Assam.
AVFU comprises College of Veterinary Science (Khanapara & North Lakhimpur campuses), College of Fisheries (Raha campus), Livestock Research Station (Mandira), and Goat Research Station (Burnihat). Admission to UG programmes is through the Common Entrance Test (CETUGAAU26), conducted as a Computer Based Test (CBT).
💡 Selection Basis: Admission is strictly based on CET merit score for Assam domicile candidates. Wards of Defence/Para-military personnel posted in Assam for at least one year are also eligible to apply.
