Assam PAT Counselling 2021

Director of Technical Education (DTE), Assam 2021 has recently released the official notification for Assam Polytechnic (PAT) 2021 Counselling. Assam PAT Counselling is being held for admission into the 1st semester diploma courses in the State Polytechnics of Assam. This year due to Covid-19 pandemic, Assam PAT 2021 Counselling will be held in online mode.

Date of 1st round counselling:

• 6th September to 15th September 2021

Eligibility Criteria to Appear in Assam PAT Counselling:

➢ The aspiring eligible candidates having Polytechnic Admission Test 2021 score are to participate in the online counselling process. The link of the online portal will be available in https:/dte.assam.gov.in.
➢ For Diploma courses in Engineering and Technology, a candidate must fulfill the following Conditions:-

(A) Must qualify in the Polytechnic Admission Test (PAT-2021) for admission into Diploma Courses’ offered by SCTE, Assam as notified by the DTE, Assam.
(B) The candidate must pass the H.S.L.C. or its equivalent examination in a single sitting (without grace marks in Science and Mathematics) with Mathematics and Science as compulsory subject with-

• 40% marks (in Average) in Mathematics and Science for General candidates
• 35% marks (in Average) in Mathematics and Science for SC candidates.
• 33% marks (in Average) in Mathematics and Science for ST Candidates.

(C) If there is tie in PAT marks then the rank of the candidates will be decided by the mark obtained in the following subjects in order will be considered:

• General Science
• General Mathematics
• English
• MIL
• Other subject

➢ If there is still a tie after considering the above subjects, seniority (DOB) will be considered.
➢ The first round of online counselling for admission into the 1st semester diploma courses in the State Polytechnics of Assam will be held from 6th September to 15th September 2021.

Document Required for Assam PAT Online Counselling:

➢ Candidates must upload correct and true data/documents regarding the following:

• A) Educational qualification
• B) Date of Birth
• C) Caste/ Category
• D) PAT-2021 Score
• E) PRC* and
• F) other relevant data.

➢ If any given information is found false, she/he will be disqualified at any stage and criminal proceedings will be drawn against him/her for misleading the counselling process and depriving the genuine candidates and it will be published in the public domain.

PRC:

• All categories (except Central Government Employee (CGE) Category): Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC) of the candidate/ parent, BPL Card of the parents or other relevant document (e.g. Aadhar Card) indicating Permanent residence of Assam.
• For Central Government Employee (CGE) Category: Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC) of the candidate/ parent, BPL Card of the parents or other relevant document (e.g. Aadhar Card) indicating  Permanent residence of outside Assam.

How to Apply for Assam PAT 2021 Online Counselling?

➢ Interested and eligible candidates may follow below mentioned steps to participate in Assam PAT Counselling through online mode.

• Step 1: Scroll down, go to Important Web-Links section .
• Step 2: Click on “Assam PAT 2021 Online Counselling Form” .
• Step 3: A new web page will be opened .
• Step 4: Login using your PAT-2021 Roll No and Date of Birth .
• Step 5: Update all the necessary details.
• Step 6: Upload all the necessary documents.
• Step 7: Fill up all your preferences. Follow the guideline mentioned in the page.
• Step 8: After re-viewing your form, submit it and take a print out.
• Step 9: Also, keep visiting the PAT Counselling portal regularly till the process is not over .

Important Dates of Assam PAT Counselling 2021:

• Starting date of online counselling: 6th September 2021, 10 AM
• Last date of online counselling: 15th September 2021, 11 AM
• Last date of submission of the Acceptance Letter: To be updated soon
