Assam Higher Secondary Admission 2025
Assam Career: Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB), Division – II or erstwhile Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) has launched a platform called the “Darpan”, basically an online web portal for Assam Higher Secondary Online Admission. The HS admission process is to be started from 17th April 2025. Students who have passed HSLC exam this year may apply online through this web portal for first year courses under Assam State School Education Board for the academic session 2025-2026. Using the Darpan Portal, students can take admissions digitally without visiting the institutions.

Assam Higher Secondary Admission 2025 Website
Assam HS Admission 2025 for Higher Secondary 1st year classes will be completed through “Darpan”, the common portal for online HS admission.
The principals of colleges, HS schools and senior secondary schools, willing to avail this facility, can register for the same in online mode.
As such, all such Institutions registered on “DARPAN” portal are directed to visit official portal to update their institution profile using their existing login credentials in order to process the Admission of students into HS 1st Year Class for the session 2025-26.
However, those institutions which have recently obtained Academic Permission from ASSEB, DIV-II but have not yet registered on the “DARPAN” portal are directed to register their institution using token number which will be shared with Principal through SMS in order to create institution profile and conducting admissions for the session 2025-26 accordingly.
At the time of profile update/New registration, UDISE code in case of HS/Sr. Sec. Schools and AISHE Code in case of Degree Colleges is mandatory.
Assam Higher Secondary Admission Fee Details
As per the official notification, the Assam Higher Secondary 1st year admission fee was waived by the Assam government and all students will able to get admissions at government-recognized institutions at zero fee. Assam HS 1st year online admission will be free of cost and all eligible students will not have to pay any fee to get admission.
How to Apply for Assam Higher Secondary Admission?
Students want to get admission into the Higher Secondary 1st year courses in different Institutions including Universities/ Degree Colleges/ Senior Secondary Schools/ Higher Secondary Schools under the Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB), Division – II must apply online. They may follow below mentioned steps to submit their applications online.

| ➥ A portal will load, click on Register a new Account link. |
| ➥ Next you need to enter your personal and educational details as required by the portal. |
| ➥ Upload scan copy of passport sized photograph and 10th mark sheet. |
| ➥ Next choose a 4 digit Login PIN and click on register button. |
| ➥ Next again click on HS 1st Year Online Admission link and login again. |
| ➥ Select your desired course and colleges/ schools. You may choose maximum five institutions in order of their preference for admission. |
| ➥ At the end, click on submit button and take a print of submitted form for future reference. |
| ➥ Please do check the portal regularly for updates. You will be notified through the portal which institution(s) you have been selected for admission. |

HS 1st Year Online Admission Merit List
The category-wise Assam HS Admission 2025 Merit List will be available on the Darpan portal itself. The merit list will be published by the concerned institutions.
Accordingly, the seat allotment will be available online for all students and they have to get admitted to their desired or allotted institution/ colleges within stipulated time frame.
The merit list is going to be published after the completion of online application process. Students will have to select the school or college of their choice within stipulated time by visiting Darpan portal .
How to Check Assam Higher Secondary Admission Merit List?
Students who submitted their online applications for admission in to Higher Secondary 1st year under Assam State School Education Board will be able to check their admission merit list in due course of time. The merit list will be prepared by the colleges and schools on the basis of their performance in the HSLC/ AHM examination. To check category-wise Assam HS Admission 2025 Merit List, you may follow below mentioned steps .

| ➥ A new webpage will load – enter your Mobile Number, Date of Birth, Security PIN and click Login. |

| ➥ Against the name of each school/ college, you will get the details about your admission request. |
| ➥ If you are shortlisted in the merit list, click on the Accept Admission Request link and accept your admission in the desired college/school. |
