Assam CEE Exam 2026

The Combined Entrance Examination (CEE 2026) is the state-level engineering entrance examination conducted for admission into B.Tech programmes in engineering colleges across Assam. The examination is organized by the Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU).

On 7 March 2026, ASTU released the official notification for CEE 2026 for admission to Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) courses for the academic session 2026–2027. Candidates who have passed or are appearing in the 10+2 examination with Science subjects are eligible to apply.

The online application process will start on 16 March 2026 and the last date to apply is 31 March 2026, while the Assam CEE 2026 exam will be conducted on 14 June 2026.

This entrance exam is the gateway for admission into government engineering colleges in Assam.

Educational Qualification for Assam CEE 2026

Candidates must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

• Must pass 10+2 (Higher Secondary) examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
• Must pass the examination in a single sitting without grace marks.
• Candidates must pass both theory and practical examinations individually.

Minimum Qualifying Marks

• General Category: 45% marks in PCM subjects
• Reserved Category: 40% marks

Other Eligibility Criteria

Residency

Candidates must be:

• Indian citizens
• Permanent residents of Assam with a valid PRC certificate.

Central Government Employee Quota

Candidates applying under this quota must submit residency proof issued by competent authorities outside Assam.

Alternative Eligibility

Candidates are also eligible if they have:

• 3-year Diploma in Engineering and Technology from the State Council for Technical Education, Assam with minimum 45% marks (40% for reserved categories)

OR

• B.Sc. degree from a recognized university with 45% marks (40% for reserved categories) and Mathematics in 10+2.

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 17 years as on 31 December 2026
• No upper age limit

Character and Fitness

Candidates must:

• Possess good moral character
• Be physically and mentally fit

Certificates from the head of the last attended institute and medical practitioner are required.
