APGCL Recruitment 2026 – Overview

The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has released two separate employment notifications for the recruitment of 66 posts of Assistant Manager (AM) and Junior Manager (JM) under Assam Power Generation Corporation Limited (APGCL). This is a premier opportunity to build a career in the Assam power sector with attractive pay scales and government service benefits.

The Assistant Manager notification covers 35 posts (B.E/B.Tech level) with applications from 24 July – 23 August 2026. The Junior Manager notification covers 31 posts (Diploma level) with applications from 22 July – 21 August 2026. Both are open exclusively to permanent residents of Assam.

Eligibility Criteria – APGCL Recruitment 2026

•AM (Technical): Full-time B.E/B.Tech in respective branch from AICTE-approved institution. Min. 60% aggregate (50% for SC/ST).
•AM (Human Resource): 2-year full-time MBA/PGDM with specialisation in HRM/Personnel Management/Industrial Relations from AICTE/UGC recognised institution. Min. 60% (55% for SC/ST).
•JM (All Technical): Full-time 3-year Diploma in respective engineering branch from Govt./Govt. recognised/AICTE-approved Polytechnic. Min. 60% aggregate (50% for SC/ST).
•Age Limit: 21 to 38 years as on 1 April 2026. OBC-NCL: +3 yrs | SC/ST: +5 yrs | PwBD: +10 yrs.
•Citizenship & Domicile: Indian citizen + Permanent Resident of Assam. PRC issued in Assam (for educational purpose) or Employment Exchange Registration Certificate required.
•Small Family Norms: Candidates must submit a declaration regarding Small Family Norms in Form-A at the time of application.
