AssamCareer: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) 2024 has released the SSC Admit Card 2024 of the Computer Based Examination (Tier-I) for the recruitment of 26146 vacancy as Constable (General Duty) in Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Secretariat Security Force (SSF), Rifleman (General Duty) in Assam Rifles (AR). The SSC Constable GD Exam is scheduled to held from from 20th February to 7th March 2024 as per the SSC Exam Calendar 2024. All applicants from the North Eastern Region (NER) will be able to download their admit cards from this page after the official release.

Selection Process of SSC Constable GD Vacancy
The selection process of SSC Constable GD will consist of following stages:
a) Computer Based Examination (CBE)
b) Physical Standard Test (PST)
c) Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
d) Detailed Medical Examination (DME)/ Review Medical Examination (RME) and
e) Document Verification
Computer Based Examination
Candidates who submitted online applications for 26,146 vacancy as Constable (General Duty) must first appear in Computer Based Examination (CBE). The detail structure of Computer Based Examination (CBE) is as mentioned below.
No of questions: 80 MCQs
Total marks: 160 marks
Duration: 60 minutes
Type of exam: Online (CBE)

Negative marking: 0.25 marks for each wrong answer

Syllabus of Computer Based Test (CBT)
The syllabus for the Examination will be as follows:
A) General Intelligence and Reasoning:
Analytical aptitude and ability to observe and distinguish patterns will be tested through questions principally of non-verbal type. This component may include questions on analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning and figural classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, etc.
B) General Knowledge and General Awareness:
Questions in this component will be aimed at testing the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of every day observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining to sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity, Indian Constitution, and scientific Research etc. These Questions will be such that they do not require a special study of any discipline.
C) Elementary Mathematics:
This paper will include questions on problems relating to Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions and relationship between Numbers, Fundamental arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work, etc.
D) English/ Hindi:
Candidates’ ability to understand basic English/ Hindi and his basic comprehension would be tested.
Physical Standard Test (PST)
Based on the performance in CBE, candidates will be shortlisted for PST/ PET by the Commission. Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) will be conducted at various centres finalized by the CAPFs.

Chest measurement for female candidates will not be taken. However, it will be ascertained that the chest is well developed.

Weight must be proportionate to height and age as per medical standards.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Candidates have to clear the race within the following time limits:

Medical Examination
Candidates will be shortlisted for Detailed Medical Examination (DME) from the pool of candidates who qualify PST/ PET.
The shortlisted candidates will be medically examined by the Medical Boards constituted by the CAPFs to assess their physical and medical fitness. The medical examination of the candidates will be conducted in terms of Uniform Guidelines for recruitment Medical Examination for GOs and NGOs in CAPFs and AR issued vide MHA UO No. A.VI-1/2014-Rectt(SSB) dated 20.05.2015 and MHA OM No: E.32012/ADG(Med)/DME&RME/DA-1/2020(Part File)/1166 dated 31.05.2021 and as amended from time to time by the government.
