A total of 120 vacancies are open for recruitment across General, DEPR, and DSIM streams. The online application process begins on 10th September 2025 and will continue until 30th September 2025. Eligibility Criteria of RBI Officer Grade B Recruitment:

Age Limit:

• Minimum Age: 21 Years
• Maximum Age: 30 Years (as on 1st September 2025)

Age Relaxation: The category-wise age relaxation is as mentioned below.

• SC/ST: 5 years
• OBC: 3 years
• PwD (Unreserved): 10 years
• PwD (OBC): 13 years
• PwD (SC/ST): 15 years

Educational Qualification:

Officer Gr. B (DR) – General: A minimum of 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD) in Graduation in any discipline or an equivalent technical/professional qualification. OR A minimum of 55% marks (Pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD) in Post-Graduation in any discipline or an equivalent technical/professional qualification.

Officer Gr. B (DR) – DEPR: A Master’s Degree in Economics / Quantitative Economics / Mathematical Economics / Applied Economics / Econometrics / Financial Economics / Business Economics / Agricultural Economics / Industrial Economics / Development Economics / International Economics with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD). OR A Master’s Degree in Finance / Quantitative Finance / Mathematical Finance / Quantitative Techniques / International Finance with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD).

Officer in Gr B (DR) – DSIM: A Master’s Degree in Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics/ Applied Statistics/ Quantitative Economics/ Econometrics/ Informatics or related branches with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD). OR A Master’s Degree in Data Science/ Artificial Intelligence/ Machine Learning/ Big Data Analytics with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD). OR A four-year Bachelor’s Degree in the above subjects with a minimum of 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD).

RBI Selection Process

The selection will be done through Online/Written examinations in Phase-I and Phase-II, followed by an Interview.

1. Phase-I Examination

For Grade ‘B’ (DR)-General: An objective type test of 200 marks, held on 18 October 2025. Subjects include General Awareness, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning.

For Grade ‘B’ (DR)-DEPR/DSIM: An objective type test on Economics/Statistics, held on 19 October 2025.

2. Phase-II Examination

For Grade ‘B’ (DR)-General: To be held on 6 December 2025, consisting of three papers (Economic and Social Issues, English-Writing Skills, and General Finance and Management).

For Grade ‘B’ (DR)-DEPR/DSIM: To be held on 7 December 2025, consisting of descriptive papers on Economics/Statistics and English.

Interview: Candidates shortlisted after Phase-II will be called for an interview, which will carry 75 marks.
