AssamCareer: Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Assam 2024 has recently released the official notification of Polytechnic Admission Test (PAT) 2024. Intending and eligible candidates may apply online here for admission into Diploma Courses in the following State Government Polytechnics of Assam and Polytechnics outside Assam (against seat allotted by the Govt. of India) for the session 2024–2025.
No. of seats in State Government Polytechnics are 4425 seats for 22 Nos. of different Diploma programmes.

| As per the official notification, there will be no Polytechnic Admission Test (PAT) from the session 2024-25 onwards. Admission into the various polytechnic courses under the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Assam, will be based on the marks obtained in the HSLC Exam with Mathematics and Science as compulsory subjects. Eligibility Criteria of Polytechnic Admission Test:
Resident-ship: Candidates must be an Indian Citizen and a Permanent resident of Assam. Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) must be produced at the time of Counseling. He/she may be allowed to take provisional admission on production of PRC Application Receipt and submission of undertaking regarding submission of final PRC within 60 days. If the candidate fails to submit the PRC within stipulated time, his/her seat will be cancelled.
Educational Qualification: Candidate must pass the H.S.L.C. or its equivalent examination in single sitting with Mathematics and Science as compulsory subjects. Candidates also must have passed individually in both Theory and Practical examinations in Mathematics and Science.
Required minimum average percentage in Mathematics and Science is as mentioned below.

Age Limit: The maximum age limit for the candidate for the PET exam will be as follows. Age will be calculated as on 31st December 2024.

Application Fee of Polytechnic Admission
Application Fee: The application fee of Assam Polytechnic Admission is ₹ 300/- plus bank charges as applicable.
Online Mode of Payment: Candidates can pay their application fee using State Bank Collect which provides the facility of payment through the Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking or UPI.
Offline Mode of Payment: Through Cash Deposit form from State Bank Collect in final step of Online Application.
