The NEET Result 2026 is tentatively scheduled for release in July 2026 by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on the official website `neet.nta.nic.in`. Following the cancellation of the original May 3 exam due to paper leak allegations, the NEET UG 2026 Re-Examination was successfully conducted on 21 June 2026 for over 20 lakh medical aspirants. NEET UG Result 2026 – Overview

The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the NEET (UG) 2026 Re-Examination on 21 June 2026 (Sunday) from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM (IST). Over 20 lakh candidates appeared for this re-examination across centres in India and abroad. The NEET UG 2026 result has not been declared yet and is expected in July 2026 on the official website neet.nta.nic.in.

The original NEET UG 2026 examination held on 3 May 2026 was cancelled by NTA following serious allegations of a question paper leak. The re-examination was conducted under tight security protocols. NTA has uploaded the provisional answer keys for all four question paper sets on 25 June 2026, with a challenge window open till 28 June 2026.

Based on expert analysis of the 21 June 2026 re-examination (Physics rated toughest; Biology largely NCERT-based), the expected qualifying cutoff is:

NEET UG 2026 Answer Key Challenge Window

•Provisional Answer Keys Released: 25 June 2026 (on neet.nta.nic.in)

•Challenge Window: 25 June 2026 to 28 June 2026 (till 11:50 PM)

•Challenge Fee: ₹200/- per question (refundable if challenge is accepted)

•Challenges must be submitted only through neet.nta.nic.in. No offline challenge accepted.

•If a challenge is accepted by the subject expert panel, the correction is applied uniformly to all 4 question paper sets.

How to Check NEET UG Result 2026 & Download Scorecard?

Once NTA declares the NEET UG 2026 result, follow these steps. You will need your Application Number and Date of Birth or Password.

Go to the official NEET result link in the Important Links section below or visit neet.nta.nic.in directly.

Click on “NEET UG 2026 Result” or “View Scorecard” on the homepage.

Enter your Application Number and Date of Birth or Password, then enter the security pin displayed.

Click Submit. Your NEET 2026 scorecard will appear on screen showing AIR, total marks, subject-wise marks, and qualifying status.

Download the result PDF by clicking the Print/Download option and save a soft copy.

Take a printout of the scorecard and keep it safe until the counselling and admission process is fully complete.

What Happens After NEET UG 2026 Result? – Counselling

1Qualify the Cutoff: Candidates must meet the qualifying percentile cutoff (50th for General/EWS, 40th for OBC/SC/ST) to be eligible for counselling.

2MCC Counselling (AIQ): The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) at mcc.nic.in conducts counselling for 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats, all deemed university seats, central universities, AIIMS, JIPMER, and ESIC institutes.

3State Quota Counselling: Respective state counselling authorities handle the 85% State Quota seats in government medical colleges. Candidates can participate in both simultaneously.

4The counselling schedule will be announced by MCC shortly after result declaration. Monitor mcc.nic.in regularly for updates.
