Assam Career: Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) 2025 has recently issued two official employment notification for the recruitment of 841 Assistant Administrative Officer (Generalist & Specialist) and Assistant Engineer (AE) posts. LIC Recruitment Details

1. Assistant Administrative Officer (AAO)
Number of Vacancy: 760 posts
Discipline-wise Vacancy:

• AAO (Generalist): 350
• AAO (CA): 30
• AAO (CS): 10
• AAO (Actuarial): 30
• AAO (Insurance Specialist): 310
• AAO (Legal): 30

Educational Qualification:

AAO (Generalist): Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized Indian University/Institution.

AAO (CA): Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized Indian University/Institution and Candidate should have passed Final Examination of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and completion of Articles as presented by Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. The candidate should be Associate member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Candidates should provide their membership number and the same will be verified with Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

AAO (CS): Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized Indian University/Institution and a Qualified Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI).

AAO (Actuarial): Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized Indian University/Institution. Candidates should have passed at least 6 papers of the examination conducted by the Institute of Actuaries of India / Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK. as on the date of eligibility i.e. 1st August, 2025. Candidates should provide their membership number and the same will be verified with Institute of Actuaries of India / Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK.

AAO (Insurance Specialist): Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized Indian University/ Institution and possessing professional qualification in Life Insurance (Fellowship of Insurance Institute of India (Life), having minimum experience of 5 years and above of working in Life Insurance Companies (regulated by IRDAI).

AAO (Legal): Bachelor’s degree in law from any University / College recognized by UGC with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent in the aggregate of all semesters/years. For SC/ST and PwBD candidate minimum required marks shall be 45% in bachelor’s degree in law in the aggregate of all semesters/years, against vacancies reserved for such candidates.

2. Assistant Engineer (AE)
Number of Vacancy: 81 posts
Discipline-wise Vacancy:

• AE (Civil): 50
• AE (Electrical): 31

Educational Qualification: B.Tech/B.E. (Civil / Electrical) from an AICTE recognized Indian University/Institution. Candidate should have a minimum three-year post qualification working experience in planning and execution of multi storied building projects with all required infrastructure.

Other Criteria of LIC Recruitment

Age Limit:

AAO (Legal)/ AAO(Chartered Accountant): Minimum Age shall be 21 years (completed) as on 01.08.2025. Maximum age shall not be more than 32 years as on 01.08.2025 (Candidates born not earlier than 02.08.1993 and not later than 01.08.2004 both days inclusive only are eligible).

Other Posts: Minimum Age shall be 21 years (completed) as on 01.08.2025. Maximum age shall not be more than 30 years (Candidates born not earlier than 02.08.1995 and not later than 01.08.2004 both days inclusive only are eligible).

Age Relaxation: The category-wise age relaxation is as mentioned below.

• SC/ST: 5 years
• OBC: 3 years
• PwBD(Gen): 10 years
• PwBD(SC/ST): 15 years
• PwBD(OBC): 13 years

Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized Indian University/Institution.

Pay: Basic pay of ₹ 88635/- per month in the scale of ₹ 88635- 4385(14)-150025– 4750(4) –169025 and other admissible allowances as per rules.
