The Directorate of Land Records & Surveys, Assam has released an official employment notification for the recruitment of 552 Land Records Assistant (LRA) posts in Assam. This recruitment drive aims to fill vacancies under the department responsible for maintaining and managing land records in the state.

Candidates who have completed the Recorder Certificate Class Course (RCCC) Training from the Assam Survey and Settlement Training Centre, Dakhingaon, Guwahati are eligible to apply for these posts. The online application process started on 15 March 2026 and the last date to apply is 30 April 2026.

Salary of Land Records Assistant

Selected candidates will receive salary in the following pay scale:

Pay Scale:
PB-2 ₹14,000 – ₹70,000 + Grade Pay ₹6,200 along with other government allowances.

Age Limit

Candidates must satisfy the following age criteria:

• Minimum Age: 21 years
• Maximum Age: 40 years

Age will be calculated as on 1 January 2025 based on the HSLC or Class X certificate.

Age Relaxation

Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/MOBC/PwD candidates will be applicable as per Government rules.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:

1. HSLC (10th pass) or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
2. Must have successfully completed the Recorder Certificate Class Course (RCCC) from the
   Assam Survey and Settlement Training Centre, Dakhingaon.
3. Must possess basic computer and IT knowledge.
4. Minimum 30 words per minute typing speed in Assamese or Bengali.

Only candidates who completed RCCC training as per advertisement issued by the Director of Land Records, Assam are eligible (except Sixth Schedule districts).

Selection Process of LRA Recruitment

The selection process consists of the following stages:

1. Competitive Written Examination
2. Skill Test (Computer Proficiency Test)

Written Examination Pattern

The written exam will be conducted in MCQ format.
