Eligibility Criteria of Indian Air Force Agniveer Vayu Recruitment

Age Limit: Candidates born between 3rd July 2004 and 3rd January 2008 (both days inclusive) are eligible to apply for Agniveer Vayu posts. In case, a candidate clears all the stages of the Selection Procedure, then the upper age limit as on date of enrollment is 21 years.

Educational Qualification:

Science Subjects: Candidates who are going to submit their application under Science Subjects category must have any one of the following educational qualification.

➥ Candidates should have passed the Intermediate/ 10+2/ Equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and English from an Education Board listed as a COBSE member with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

➥ Who have passed three years of Diploma Course in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Automobile/ Computer Science/ Instrumentation Technology/ Information Technology) from a Government recognized Polytechnic institute with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in diploma course (or in Intermediate/ Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Diploma Course).

➥ Who have passed two years of Vocational Courses with non-vocational subjects viz. Physics and Maths from State Education Boards/Councils which are listed in COBSE with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in vocational courses (or in Intermediate/ Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Vocational Course).

Other Than Science Subjects: Candidates who are going to submit their application under Other Than Science Subjects category must have any one of the following educational qualification.

➥ Passed Intermediate/ 10+2/ Equivalent Examination in any subject approved by Central/ State Education Boards listed as COBSE member with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

➥ Who have passed two years vocational course from Education Boards listed as COBSE member with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in vocational course or in Intermediate/ Matriculation if English is not a subject in Vocational Course.

Mandatory Medical Standards

General Medical Standards for Agniveer Vayu are as follows:-

Height: Minimum acceptable height is 152.5 cms (For Male candidates) and 152 cms (For Female candidates).

Chest: The chest wall should be well proportioned with minimum range of expansion of 5 cms.

Weight: Proportionate to height and age.

Corneal Surgery (PRK/ LASIK) is not acceptable. Visual requirements as applicable as per Indian Air Force standards.

Hearing: Candidate should have normal hearing i.e. able to hear forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters with each ear separately.

Dental: Should have healthy gums, good set of teeth and minimum 14 dental points.

General Health: Candidate should be of normal anatomy without loss of any appendages. He should be free from any active or latent, acute or chronic, medical or surgical disability or infection and skin ailments. Candidate shall be physically and mentally FIT to perform duty in any part of the world, in any climate and terrain.

Online Test of Air Force Agniveer Vayu Recruitment

Candidates who submit online application for Indian Air Force Recruitment will have to attend an online test. Indian Air Force will issue the provisional admit card to the eligible candidates 48 to 72 hours before the exam. Also, candidates will be informed about the same on their registered email address. Candidates have to download their admit cards and take a colour printout. They will need to carry their admit cards to the examination centre on the day of online test as indicated on their respective admit cards to appear in the selection test.

Marking Pattern: One mark for every correct answer.

Negative Marking: 0.25 marks shall be deducted for each wrong answer.

Note: Candidates are to bring one blue/black pen and original AADHAR card along with them for Phase-I testing.

Science Subjects

The candidates who will submit the application for the category of Science Subjects, their exam pattern will be as follows.

Duration of Exam: 60 Minutes

Syllabus of Exam: English, Physics and Mathematics as per 10+2 CBSE syllabus.

Other Than Science Subjects

Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

Candidates who qualify the online test will be called for Physical Fitness Test (PFT) of Indian Air Force. The list of shortlisted candidates will be published on the official web portal. The Physical Fitness Test (PFT) of the Indian Air Force will consist of the following tasks.

PFT- I 

Candidates have to complete 1.6 Kms run as per the following timings to qualify for PFT-II:-
