The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a national level entrance exam for admissions to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law programmes offered by 22 National Law Universities in India. Common Law Admission Test is organized by the Consortium of National Law Universities, comprising representative universities. Several affiliate universities and organizations also use the Common Law Admission Test exam for admissions and recruitment respectively.

CLAT

All admissions to the 5-year integrated Ll.B. and Ll.M. programmes that commence in the Academic Year 2025-2026 shall be through the CLAT 2025. The Consortium of NLUs has released the CLAT 2025 application form from 15th July 2025. The last date to fill the CLAT 2025 registration is 15th October 2024. CLAT 2025 exam will be conducted on 1st December 2024 in offline mode.

Eligibility Criteria of Common Law Admission Test 2025

The Common Law Admission Test 2025 qualifying criteria for UG and PG Programmes are as mentioned below.

UG Programme:

Age Limit: There is be no upper age limit for candidates appearing for UG Programme through the Common Law Admission Test 2025.

Educational Qualification: Candidates must secure the following minimum percentage of marks in their qualifying examination (i.e., 10+2 or an equivalent examination):

➲ Forty five percent (45%) marks or its equivalent grade in case of candidates belonging to General / OBC / PWD / NRI / PIO / OCI categories
➲ Forty Percent (40%) marks or equivalent in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST categories.

PG Programme

Age Limit: There is be no upper age limit for candidates appearing for PG Programme through the CLAT 2025.

Educational Qualification: An Ll.B. Degree or an equivalent examination with a minimum of Fifty percent (50%) marks or its equivalent grade in case of candidates belonging to General/OBC/PWD/NRI/PIO/OCI categories and Forty-Five percent (45%) marks or its equivalent grade in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST categories.

CLAT Application Fee 2025

Interested and eligible candidates have to pay an application fee of amount as mentioned below during online submission of Common Law Admission Test application . The fee can be paid using a credit card/ debit card/ net banking/ e-challan/ UPI.
