1. Head Constable (RO)

Category-wise vacancy:

• EWS: 00
• OBC: 16

Pay Scale: Level-4, ₹ 25500-81100 (as per 7th CPC)
Educational Qualification:

Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board and two years Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Certificate in Radio and Television or, Electronics or, Computer Operator & Programming Assistant or, Data Preparation & Computer Software or, General Electronics or, Data Entry Operator from a recognized Institute.

Or

Pass in Intermediate or 12th standard or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized Board or University or Institution as a regular student with aggregate 60% marks in PCM subjects.

2. Head Constable (RM)

Educational Qualification:

Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board and two years Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Certificate in Radio and Television or, General Electronics or, Computer Operator & Programming Assistant or, Data Preparation & Computer Software or, Electrician or, Fitter or, Info Technology & Electronics System maintenance or, Comn Equipment Maintenance or, Computer Hardware or, Network Technician or, Mechatronics or, Data Entry Operator from a recognized Institute.

Or

Pass in Intermediate or 1ih standard or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized Board or University or Institution as a regular student with aggregate 60% marks in PCM subjects.

Other Criteria of BSF Recruitment

Citizenship: Candidate must be a citizen of India.

Age Limit: Candidates age must be between 18 to 25 years as on closing date of application.

Age Relaxation: The category-wise age relaxation is as mentioned below.

• OBC: 3 years
• SC: 5 years
• ST: 5 years

Physical Standards for BSF Recruitment

➢ For all candidates except mentioned below: Male: 168 Cms, Female: 157 Cms
➢ Candidates falling in the categories of Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to the State of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, and Kashmir, Leh & Ladakh regions: Male: 165 Cms, Female: 155 Cms
➢ For Candidates belonging to the ST Categories: Male: 162.5 Cms, Female: 154 Cms

Chest (for Male Only):

➢ For General/ OBC/ SC/ EWS Categories: 80 Cms (Un-expanded), 85 Cms (Expanded)
➢ For ST Category: 76 Cms (Un-expanded), 81 Cms (Expanded)

Weight:

➢ Corresponding to the Height & Age as per Medical Standards (For Male & Female)
