The Directorate of Open & Distance Learning, Assam Agricultural University (AAU-ODL) has released the official admission notification for various short-term training and certificate courses starting from July 2026. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online from 5 June to 25 June 2026.
These courses are designed to cater to a wide spectrum of learners including farmers, entrepreneurs, rural women, and unemployed youths. The ODL courses provide knowledge, skill, and employment opportunities across all sections of society. Classes are conducted online (Google Meet) with in-campus practical training sessions at AAU campuses/KVKs.

How to Apply for AAU ODL Admission 2026
Click the Fee Payment Link in the Important Links section below and pay the applicable application fee (₹110 or ₹210).
Click the Online Application Form link. A Google Form will appear — you must log in with your Gmail Account to proceed.
Fill in all personal and educational details and upload the necessary documents.
Submit the form and take a printout of the submitted application for your reference.
For in-person guidance and assistance, visit a Facilitation Centre at a nearby KVK or AAU Campus.

AAU ODL offers 5 courses: Short-Term Training (1 month) — Mushroom Production Technology, Waste Recycling & Vermicompost Production Technology, Life Skill Education; Certificate Courses (6 months) — Bakery & Confectionery Products, Production of Biocontrol Agents for Entrepreneurship Development.
The application fee is ₹110/- for Short-Term Training courses and ₹210/- for Certificate courses. This is separate from the course fee.
Students who have passed Class VIII are eligible for Mushroom Production and Vermicompost courses. 12th passed candidates can apply for Life Skill Education, Bakery & Confectionery, and Biocontrol Agents courses. Farmers, entrepreneurs, rural women, and unemployed youths are specially encouraged.
Classes are conducted online via Google Meet. However, candidates must attend mandatory in-campus practical training for 3–7 days (Short-Term) or 10 days (Certificate) at AAU campuses or nearby KVKs.
Yes. A Certificate from Assam Agricultural University will be provided to all learners who successfully complete the course. Self Learning Material (SLM) is also provided during the course.
