Assam Agricultural University (AAU), established on 1 April 1969 with its headquarters at Jorhat, is the first agricultural university in the entire North-Eastern Region of India. It was built on the foundation of the erstwhile Assam Agricultural College at Jorhat and the Assam Veterinary College at Khanapara, Guwahati.

AAU now includes nine colleges across Assam — including colleges at Jorhat, Khanapara (Guwahati), Raha (Fisheries), Biswanath Chariali, Chapar, North Lakhimpur, Nalbari, Titabar, and more. Its mission is to produce globally competitive human resources in the farm sector and disseminate generated technologies for food security and sustainability.

ℹ Who can apply for CETUGAAU26? Science stream students (10+2 passed or appearing) with a Permanent Residence Certificate of Assam/NER (for HFC seats). Wards of Defence/Paramilitary personnel serving in Assam for at least 1 year are also eligible.

Upload all required documents as specified (photo, signature, marksheets, PRC, caste certificate, etc.).

Pay the application fee of ₹1,500/- online.

Submit the form and take a printout for future reference.

The last date to submit the online application for AAU Admission 2026–27 is 10 June 2026.

CETUGAAU26 is the Common Entrance Test for Under-Graduate Programmes at Assam Agricultural University for the 2026–27 session. It is a CBT (Computer Based Test) of 2 hours with 160 MCQs from Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology (40 each).

The application fee is ₹1,500/- for all candidates. It must be paid online and is non-refundable.

AAU offers UG courses including B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture, Horticulture, Sericulture, Community Science, Food Nutrition & Dietetics, and PG/Integrated courses including M.Sc., M.Tech, MBA (Agri-Business), and Integrated B.Tech-M.Tech across multiple faculties and 9 colleges.

Candidates must have passed 10+2 with PCB / PCAg / BCAg from a recognized Board with minimum 50% aggregate for General/OBC candidates and 40% for SC/ST/DAC. Must be at least 16 years old as on 1 August 2026.

PG admission is based on NTA score from ICAR AIEEA (PG) 2026 or GAT-B score. A secondary channel through AAU’s own CET (PG) is also available for Faculty of Agriculture programmes for candidates who do not secure a seat through NTA score.
