SLRC Recruitment 2026 – Overview
The State Level Recruitment Commission (SLRC) for Class-III Posts, Assam has invited online applications for 72 posts of Field Assistant (Statistics)/Enumerator under the Integrated Sample Survey (ISS) in the Directorate of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary, Assam. Eligible candidates can apply online from 15 October 2026 to 14 November 2026 through the official website of ASSEB (Div-I).
Selected candidates will be placed in Pay Band-2 (₹14,000 – ₹70,000) with Grade Pay of ₹5,600 and other admissible allowances. There is no application fee for candidates of any category.

♿ PwBD Reservation: 3 posts are reserved within the 72 — one each for blindness/low vision, deaf/hard of hearing, and locomotor disability.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
•A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised university in any subject with at least one paper in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Social Science, Sociology or Psychology at graduate level.
OR
•A Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with 50% marks in Mathematics at the 12th standard.
Other Mandatory Requirements
•Language: Must have studied English and any one of Assamese, Bengali or Bodo as subjects during HSLC.
•Computer Qualification: Computer knowledge, comfort with data entry via a handheld device, and a Computer Course Certificate of at least 6 months from a government-recognised institute (must be uploaded).
•Employment Exchange: A valid Employment Exchange registration certificate in Assam is required.
•Citizenship: Applicants must be Indian citizens as specified in the advertisement.

⚠ Age Proof: Age will be determined only from the HSLC/Class X pass certificate or admit card issued by a recognised Board/Council showing the date of birth. The Commission will not accept any other document for this purpose.
Selection Process
Selection will be based on merit. The Commission states that full details of the selection procedure and examination will be made available on the application portal from 15 October 2026; the advertisement does not specify the exact exam pattern or number of stages at this time.

Reservation Documents & Other Conditions
✓SC/ST/OBC/MOBC candidates need a caste certificate issued by a competent Assam authority.

✓Ex-servicemen applying for reserved posts must upload their Ex-servicemen Identity Card (issued by the Zila Sainik Welfare Office, Assam) and Discharge Book.
✓Candidates already in regular government service must produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) when asked.
✓Applicants must submit the Small Family Norms declaration (Form-A) when asked.
✓Candidates seeking consideration under the Assam Public Services (Preferential Appointment) Rules, 1999 must indicate their choice in the application portal.
