Assam Career: Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) 2025 has recently invited application for the Recruitment of 654 Assistant Architect & Junior Engineer (Civil) Posts under Public Works (Building & National Highway) Department [PW(B&NH)D] and under joint cadre of Public Works Roads Department (PWRD) & Public Works (Building & NH) Department respectively. The online application will start from 24th January 2025. Interested and eligible candidates can apply through online mode. https://pwdroads.assam.gov.in/.

1. Assistant Architect

Name of department: Public Works (Building & National Highway) Department [PW(B&NH)D]
Scale of Pay: ₹ 30,000/- to ₹ 1,10,000/-GP: ₹ 12,700/- Pay Band – 4
Age Limit: The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 01/01/2025.
Educational Qualification: Bachelors Degree in Architecture from an Indian or Foreign University recognized by the Government.
2. Junior Engineer (Civil)

Age Limit: The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 40 years of age as on 01/01/2025.
Educational Qualification:
- Candidate must have 3 years Diploma in Civil Engineering/ Civil Engineering & Planning/ Construction Technology from any technical institute recognized by AICTE.
- The Diploma course must be a regular course.
Eligibility Criteria of PWD Assam Recruitment
Age Relaxation: The category-wise age relaxation is as mentioned below.
- SC: 5 years
- ST: 5 years
- OBC/ MOBC: 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years

Citizenship: Candidates must be Indian Citizens as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.
Resident-ship:
(i) The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam.
(ii) The candidate must produce PRC issued in Assam for educational purpose/ Employment Exchange Registration certificate as proof of residency along with the application form.
Small Family Norms: The candidates have to submit a declaration regarding “The Small Family Norms” in Form-A at the time of applying for the post.
