Assam State Space Application Centre Recruitment

1. Project Scientist (Agriculture Assessment & Fisheries Resource Mapping)

• No of Posts: 02
• Salary: ₹30,000 + Employer’s CPF Contribution
• Qualification: 1st Class Master’s in Remote Sensing / Geoinformatics / Agricultural Science (Agronomy or Soil Science) / Geography with Remote Sensing & GIS specialization / Zoology with Fish Biology & Fisheries.
• Desirable: Experience in Remote Sensing, GIS, GPS, UAV.
• Max Age (as on 1st January, 2025): 35 Years

2. Project Scientist (IT – Mobile App & Web Portal Development)

• No of Posts: 02
• Salary: ₹30,000 + Employer’s CPF Contribution
• Qualification: M.Tech/M.E/MCA/M.Sc in RS & GIS/IT/CS OR B.Tech/B.E in CS/IT/Geoinformatics with relevant experience.
• Desirable Skills:
• Spatial Decision Support System, SDI, Big Data Analytics, IoT-based apps
• AI/ML/DL applications for Geospatial Data
• Mobile App & Web Portal development
• Programming in Python, Java, R, C++
• Proficiency in ArcGIS, Geoserver, PostgreSQL, Apache, Open Layers, Hadoop
• Max Age (as on 1st January, 2025): 35 Years

3. Project Scientist (Agro-Forestry & Carbon Estimation)

• No of Posts: 01
• Salary: ₹30,000 + Employer’s CPF Contribution
• Qualification: 1st Class Master’s in Forestry / Botany (Taxonomy/Ecology) with PG training in RS/GIS OR M.Tech in Geoinformatics/RS & GIS.
• Desirable: Experience in forestry studies using Remote Sensing & GIS.
• Max Age (as on 1st January, 2025): 35 Years

4. Project Scientist (Border Monitoring & LULC Analysis using AI)

• No of Posts: 01
• Salary: ₹54,000 + Employer’s CPF Contribution
• Qualification: 1st Class M.Sc./M.Tech in Geoinformatics / RS & GIS OR B.Tech Civil with RS/GIS Diploma OR M.Sc. in Geography/Earth Science with RS & GIS Diploma.
• Desirable Skills:
• Experience with Sentinel-1 SAR & Sentinel-2 Optical Data
• Google Earth Engine (GEE) for satellite data analysis
• AI/ML-based geospatial change detection & classification
• Python & JavaScript programming for geospatial analysis
• Knowledge of QGIS, ArcGIS, SNAP, ERDAS, ENVI
• WebGIS/Geo Portal development experience
• Max Age (as on 1st January, 2025): 35 Years

Salary Structure 💰

• Project Scientist (General/IT/Forestry): ₹30,000 per month + CPF Contribution
• Project Scientist (Border Monitoring & AI): ₹54,000 per month + CPF Contribution
