Assam CEE Counselling 2026 – Overview
The Director of Technical Education (DTE), Assam has released the official notification for Assam CEE 2026 Counselling for admission into 4-Year B.Tech courses offered by the State Engineering Colleges and other Institutions of Assam for the academic session 2026–27. The counselling is being conducted in online mode with a registration window from 10 July 2026 to 17 July 2026.
A total of 1,815 B.Tech seats are available across 7 Government Engineering Colleges in Assam. Candidates must have a valid rank in the Assam CEE 2026 to participate in the counselling. The first round counselling date will be declared shortly by DTE Assam.

Eligibility Criteria – Assam CEE Counselling 2026
•Age: Minimum 17 years as on 31 December 2026. No upper age limit.
•Citizenship & Domicile: Indian citizen and Permanent Resident of Assam with a valid PRC of Assam issued by competent authority.
•Qualification (10+2 route): Must pass 10+2 in a single sitting without grace marks in relevant subjects, with both Theory and Practical passed individually, with minimum 45% marks (40% for reserved category).
•Qualification (Diploma route): Must have passed 3-year Diploma in Engineering & Technology under State Council for Technical Education, Assam with minimum 45% (40% reserved) in Final Diploma Examination.
•CEE Score: Must have a valid rank in the Combined Entrance Examination (CEE) 2026.
•CGE Quota: Non-PRC holders of Assam may apply under Central Government Employee (CGE) Quota by submitting proof of permanent residency from the concerned state authorities. Assam PRC holders are NOT eligible under CGE quota.
