Assam ITI Admission 2026 online registration is open from 26 May to 11 June 2026 (till 5:00 PM). Conducted by the Directorate of Employment and Craftsmen Training (DECT), Assam, the admission process is merit-based with no entrance exam. Assam ITI Admission 2026 – Overview
The Directorate of Employment and Craftsmen Training (DECT), Assam has published the official admission notice for the 2026–27 session of Industrial Training Institutes across Assam. Online applications are open for eligible candidates who want to join various trade programs in Government and Private ITI colleges in Assam.
The admission covers NCVT, SCVT, CoE, and IMC trades under the Craftsman Training Scheme. Selection is purely merit-based through an e-counselling process — there is no separate entrance examination. This year, DECT has also added exciting new-age trades including Electric Vehicle, IoT, Industrial Robotics, and Solar Technician courses.

Online Registration: Register on the DECT Assam portal between 26 May – 11 June 2026 (by 5 PM).
Document Verification: Visit the nearest Government ITI with all original documents during 26 May to 12 June 2026 (working days). Only verified candidates proceed to counselling.
Choice Filling: Select preferred trades and colleges based on interest and career plans. Choose wisely — factors like course prospects, facilities, and location matter.
Merit List & Seat Allotment: A merit list is prepared based on qualifying exam marks. Seat allotment results are published for each counselling round.
College Reporting: Candidates allotted a seat must report to the allotted ITI within the given deadline. Submit original documents, pay the admission fee, and complete institute formalities.
