Assam ITI Admission 2026 – DECT Application Process & Eligibility Criteria

🔔 Applications Open: DECT Assam ITI Admission 2026–27 online registration started 26 May 2026. Last date: 11 June 2026 (5:00 PM). Document verification: 26 May to 12 June 2026. Register now at the official DECT Assam portal!

✅ No Entrance Exam! Assam ITI Admission 2026 is based purely on marks in the qualifying examination through an e-counselling process. There is no separate entrance test. Higher marks in Class 8/10 = better chance of getting your preferred trade and college.

ℹ Also includes: Basic Designer & Virtual Verifier (Mechanical) among other new-age trades. These courses align with the Make in India and National Education Policy 2020 objectives.

✅ BPL Concession: Tuition fees are waived for BPL candidates in NCVT & SCVT courses (except SCVT under IMC courses).

ℹ Additionally, 2 seats are reserved per ITI trade for Tea Garden Labour / Ex-Tea Garden Labour candidates.

Online Registration: Register on the DECT Assam portal between 26 May – 11 June 2026 (by 5 PM).

Document Verification: Visit the nearest Government ITI with all original documents during 26 May to 12 June 2026 (working days). Only verified candidates proceed to counselling.

Choice Filling: Select preferred trades and colleges based on interest and career plans. Choose wisely — factors like course prospects, facilities, and location matter.

Merit List & Seat Allotment: A merit list is prepared based on qualifying exam marks. Seat allotment results are published for each counselling round.

College Reporting: Candidates allotted a seat must report to the allotted ITI within the given deadline. Submit original documents, pay the admission fee, and complete institute formalities.

⚠ Deadline Warning: If you do not report to the allotted ITI within the deadline, your seat will be cancelled and offered to other candidates in later rounds. Track all announcement dates carefully.

Click New Registration and fill in all your details as directed. Click Submit Your Details.

Log in with your Login ID and Password, then complete the full application form.

Recheck all details carefully before clicking the final submit button. Errors may affect merit listing.

Take a printout of the confirmation page for future reference and to carry during document verification.

Candidates must have passed Class 8th or Class 10th from a recognized Board. The exact qualification depends on the trade. Engineering and non-engineering courses have different entry requirements.

New trades added for 2026–27 include: Mechanic Electric Vehicle (EV), IoT Technician (Smart City & Smart Health Care), Industrial Robotics & Digital Manufacturing Technician, Solar Technician, CNC Machining Technician, and Basic Designer & Virtual Verifier (Mechanical).
