Golaghat Gaon Pradhan Recruitment 2026 – Overview
The Office of the Co-District Commissioner (CDC), Dergaon Co-District, Golaghat, Assam has officially released an employment notification for recruitment to 10 Gaon Pradhan (Village Headman) posts under the Golaghat and Dergaon Revenue Circles. Applications must be submitted offline on or before 30 June 2026.
The Gaon Pradhan (also known as Village Headman) is an important grassroots administrative position in Assam. Selected candidates will receive a monthly remuneration of ₹14,000/-. Selection is based on a Viva Voce (Interview), and all appointments are subject to Police Verification.

Educational Qualification
•Candidates must have passed the 10th Standard / HSLC / Matriculation Examination from a recognized institution or board.
Age Limit (as on 1 January 2026)
•Candidates must be a minimum of 25 years old as on 1 January 2026.
Age will be verified through: Birth Certificate issued by a competent authority, or HSLC Admit Card / Certificate issued by a recognised Board or Council. No other documents will be accepted for age proof.
Other Eligibility Conditions
•Nationality & Residency: Must be a citizen of India and a permanent resident of the specific area for which they are applying.
•Property Requirement: Must own landed or immovable property within the area of proposed appointment.
•Government Employment: Must NOT be a government employee.
•Political Affiliation: Must NOT be a member of any political party.

Selection Process for Gaon Pradhan 2026

Viva Voce (Interview): Eligible candidates will be called for an interview. Candidates who score the highest marks in the Viva Voce for their respective village will be selected for the Gaon Pradhan post.

Police Verification: All final appointments will be made only after successful Police Verification as per the prescribed procedure.
⚠ Important: Candidates must carry all original testimonials and photocopies at the time of interview. No rescheduling request will be entertained if the candidate fails to appear on the scheduled interview date.
